I usually start logos or illustrations in Procreate. Procreate is a weird middle ground that I connected with. In between paper and digital, a nice balance of expression and analog-ish.

Another fun aspect in Procreate comes down to being able to draw at full hardness and then being able to erase and manipulate easily. There's a lot of experimentation I can do in digital that a lot of times just can't be done easily or at all in strictly analog.

This illustration is inspired by having a little bit of whimsy in life, even when you're engulfed in the suck. Trying to smile a little or stick your tongue out at really hard situations.

Working in symmetry is really, really fun as well, at least for me. A lot of times I'll do an illustration in symmetry, and then turn it off and make edits or redraw to add some asymmetry. All coming together nicely with a bit of wabi-sabi spirit.
